Janitor

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Weekday afternoon/evening- approx. 20 hrs. a week

​

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will take pride in providing a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of all floor areas

• Vacuum mats throughout the facility

• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces

• Clean and disinfect kitchens, including counters, stoves, refrigerators, and sinks

• Sanitize and maintain elevators

• Clean and disinfect restrooms: toilets, sinks, floors, and mirrors

• Wash windows, glass doors, and other interior glass surfaces

• Pick up debris and empty trash and recycling bins

• Handle and report any lost and found items promptly

• Provide basic facility information to guests or staff when needed

• Follow all health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols

• Order supplies as needed

Seasonal & Outdoor Duties:

• Salt sidewalks and walkways during winter months

• Light snow shoveling of walkways and entrances to maintain safety and accessibility

• Grounds Maintenance 

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred

• Ability to work independently and efficiently

• Knowledge of cleaning products and safe usage

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor facility area.
