Childrens Dance
For 35 years, our cherished children's dance program has been a vibrant part of our community, teaching young talents a diverse range of dance styles, from timeless tap to modern hip-hop and contemporary. Archwood 55 Plus is a community based non-profit, charitable organization offering lunches, art and fitness classes,
social activities, bus trips and other services to
adults ages 55 and older living in the Winnipeg area.
Our goal is to encourage graceful aging and empower older adults

Dance & Functional Fitness Combo for older adults with Erwin
Friday's 9:30am-10:30am
-A Fun class for everyone while improving your strength, balance, flexibility and overall wellness! Class will begin with 5 minutes of stretching to get ready for the 25 minutes of cardio that will get your feet moving and your heart rate up. Different music styles that you will be familiar with will be used. This will be followed by 20 minutes of exercise focusing on muscle strength, resistance training,, balance, and flexibility. The final 10 minutes will be devoted to cool down, and stretching to work out any muscle tension so you are ready for the rest of your day. - Functional fitness focuses on balance, core strength, endurance and multi-joint flexibility. Some classes will focus on specific balance exercises while other times balance and stability are incorporated. Class ends with relaxing music and movement to enhance total body cool down. This class focuses on activities of daily living and is great for all levels!
Strength Training with Crystal
Friday's 2:10pm-3:10pm
​My name is Crystal. I've specialized in strength training since I became a personal trainer in 2012. In my strength training class, you'll be lifting weights, or your body, in a way that creates resistance. We will use resistance to build strength, tone muscle, shed fat, burn calories—all packed into one workout. This class is designed for beginners to advance and all intensities.
